- 1–2 pages; slightly more detail acceptable than US resumes
- Do NOT include photo, DOB, marital status, or religion
- Use Canadian English spelling (behaviour, colour, but program not programme)
- Highlight language proficiency — English and French especially
- Use metric units (kilometres, kilograms)
- Date format: YYYY-MM-DD (ISO standard)
- Results-oriented with numbers and clear outcomes
- In bilingual regions (Quebec), consider a French version
